"The most painful thing is losing yourself in the process of loving someone too much, and forgetting that you are special too."

The Light in the Wound is a story of a girl named Isabel, and her family as she finds herself in the middle of a love triangle. When Isabel falls hopelessly in love with Jesse, everything was changed by passion, lust, and envy, then Alex came into the picture.

The storyline is well-written, and the dialogues of the characters are meant to punch our guts. An emotional journey of first love to meeting true love in the middle of a crazy and epic story. It is not your average love triangle novel! A wonderful story that will make you swoon and cry at the same time.

There is so much more in this book, and all you can do is hold on and wait for the roller coaster ride of emotion to stop. This book taught us that being young is experiencing different things such as making wrong decisions, being hurt, loving someone and of course, learning from our mistakes. It opened a lot of issues in our society today, teenage angst, family issues and sex. It makes us realize that it is okay to make mistakes because everything happens for a reason and you should learn from it.

There’s always about the first love that you can never forget. After all, he is your first, and he will always be your first no matter how many times you’ve been broken, the feeling will always be there, but the thing is, can you forget your first love to be happy with the second?

Christine Brae is a full time career woman who thought she could write a book about her life and then run away as far as possible from it. She never imagined that her words would touch the hearts of so many women with the same story to tell. She is currently working on her third book which she hopes to release in June,2014.

When not listening to the voices in her head or spending late nights at the office, Christine can be seen shopping for shoes and purses, running a half marathon or spending time with her husband and three children in Chicago.
